My Story
Every website has a story, and this one is pretty simple...
After many years spent painting, teaching, directing galleries, promoting shows, and encouraging the work of other artists, I once again have a paintbrush firmly planted in my hand. Fish Heads Ink is my way of sharing where that journey has led.
The series began with a drawer full of trout drawings that had quietly waited for years. Rather than simply framing those drawings, I found myself combining pen and ink, collage, paint, and fragments of history into something entirely new. Each piece is inspired by the rivers, landscapes, and traditions that have shaped fly fishing across the country.
I'm not a fly fisher. I'm an observer.
What interests me is the quiet beauty of a trout, the character of old maps and weathered paper, the colors of moving water, and the stories that linger long after the river has disappeared from view.
I hope you'll enjoy looking around. Whether you've spent a lifetime on the water or simply appreciate handcrafted work...
welcome to Fish Heads Ink.
